Dangerous quackery — I used to really like Noom and previously lose weight with it. But when I logged on last night it had me do a face scan which it claimed could give me data on all kinds of stuff from stroke risk to triglyceride levels and that these results were clinically backed. This is a massive overstatement of tech that's basically been shown to be able to take heart rate pretty well and that's it. As a result of my face scan, Noom tried to sell me GLP-1s to "microdose", an off label and unvalidated application of a powerful new prescription medicine. This is DANGEROUS and HARMFUL. I look forward to the class action.
